About I.M.P.A.C.T. Foundation
Michael W. Stanley is a Certified Addiction Counselor and the founder & CEO of I.M.P.A.C.T. Foundation born and raised in Washington, DC. Michael fell prey to the fast-paced life of the city that continues to fascinate the youth today and became the victim of his wrong choices. During his time as a young adult, in prison he reflected on his mistakes that kept him on the road to nowhere, choosing consciously to break the vicious cycle by not allowing his past to determine his future. He logged countless volunteer hours under a formalized program, providing outreach to troubled and struggling teens in the surrounding communities.
Michael changed his life and went on to help others who had gone down the same road with determination and commitment to make a visible change. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Psychology from Coppin State University to became a Certified Addiction Counselor and started offering assistance to at-risk teens and young adults with customized counseling sessions.
Michael later founded I Make Positive Attempts to Change Teens (I.M.P.A.C.T.), as a formal non-profit foundation to help troubled and underprivileged youth make better life choices, offering them group and one-on-one counseling sessions, mentoring seminars, and training workshops. As “A Voice of Experience,” Michael gets it! He knows what it is like to be where they are right now or where they might be heading.
For over 40 years now, Michael has been mentoring the youth, providing them education, training, guidance, and motivation to strive for greater accomplishments. He has also assisted many released prisoners turn their life around. Over the years, he and his team of counselors have empowered at-risk teens and troubled adults into transforming their lives by no longer settling for the I Can’t attitude. Today, the I.M.P.A.C.T. Foundation is known for providing the underprivileged and struggling youth the safe space and guidance they so desperately need to turn their lives around.

This guy is something else; I was fortunate enough to be guided by this man. His work is not only limited to people with stress-issues or troubled life, but he is praised by those who are looking for mentors, direction, and guidance.
- Jamal D. J Quality Assurance ManagerMichael not only identifies what troubles a teenager but also helps transform his life. He is not only a mentor but an angel for teens. My kid, 17-year-old, was going through a tough time at school, dealing with bullying and drug abuse. He was reluctant to share his problems. Then Michel came into our lives and helped my kid. I am grateful for your guidance and training.
- Shane Pierce Quality Assurance ManagerEverybody is well aware of his work, what he has done for society, and how he is transforming the lives of hundreds of teenagers. He is a role model for youth nationwide and I would love to recommend him to anybody who wants to turn their life around after being a victim of gang violence and crime.
- Nigel PrestonMy session with Michael W. Stanley was amazing; he stressed the fact that if you want to change the world, you first have to change your own self. His story is inspiring and led me to take conscious decisions about my life. Truly a role model!
